The Hospital Bag - For Dad

Dads and dads to be take note, if you haven’t heard the mother of your child mention to you yet, she has probably started ( or has completed) her hospital bag.

NO? THEN WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?! YOU'RE IN BIG TROUBLE WITH THE MOTHER IF YOU HAVEN'T TAKEN NOTE OF THIS ALREADY!

Well anyways, get familiar with it as you will need to know whats in there for her to reach!

But my advice to you would be to pack a hospital bag for yourself as well. You don’t know how long you’ll be there and it’s better to do it now when you can think clearly than if the situation changes in the hospital!

So here is my little list of what you may need when you’re in there, feel free to add or take away anything not relevant!

  • 2 Phone Chargers (Yours and Hers)

  • A spare change of t shirt, you will be sweaty.

  • Spare change, for all those trips to the vending machine whilst you wait and for the overly expensive car park outside.

  • Deodorant, because you will be sweaty!

  • Bring in your own teabags, pot noodles and biscuits, because as you wait, there is a tea room but it’s a communal one, and it has cheap tea bags. And bring your own cups!

  • A tablet of some description as hospitals have poor tv coverage or bad tv signal, and time can drag before and after a birth!

Just have it sitting in the boot ready to go! You will be grateful, especially if you’re in the hospital for any length of time!

Oh and dads, take lots of pictures during the whole thing, even though she will protest and hate you for it, it’s a great thing to look back on!

Good Luck!
